How to Make a Simple Easter Bunny Garland
Adorable Easter Bunny DIY Decor
I came across this adorable decoration and knew I had to make it to add some fresh spring colour to our house -- and they are up just in time for Easter! The best part: they cost about $7 to make!
Here's what you need:
- White yarn ($ store)
- Cardstock (I got one sheet of purple, pink, and turquoise from Michael's)
- Twine ($ store)
- Mini clothespins ($ store)
You can draw your own bunny, or trace one like in the image below or download here (print and cut out).
Steps:
1. Trace and cut out desired number of bunnies.
2. Make pom pom tails.
- Wrap yarn in a circular pattern around 3 fingers about 25-30 times, leaving long ends at both the beginning of end (you'll use this to tie it off).
- Slide yarn off fingers and tie a knot around the middle of the circle so there are 2 loops (one at each end).
- Cut both loops in the middle (so it fans out like spikey hair).
- Trim yarn edges so it is less wild and more of a uniform circle.
3. Glue pom pom tails to bunny either with white glue or a glue gun and allow to dry.
4. Hang bunnies on twine with mini clothespin.
