HOW can you “have it all” without Doing it all?

If I’m going to be honest, I didn’t think being a mompreneur was something I was ever interested in.

I didn’t understand how a person could have the time to both raise her kids AND build a profitable business. I thought that working from home meant ignoring your kids while you got your work done and thought about the mom guilt I would feel in doing so.

And then I realized that I wanted something different for my family and I. I wanted something more. I wanted it all – to be able to stay home, be present and raise my kids AND build a successful business. Does this resonate with you, friend?

Here’s how I can “do it all” without doing it all.

1. Make a list: ✔️Set your priorities for the week and the day and when they are done, celebrate what you’ve accomplished.

2. Use a day planner: 🗓 Schedule those priorities/tasks into your weeks/days. Label them as primary and secondary priorties.

3. Guard your time: ⏰Time block your days so that you have time for play, crafts, business, and rest/relaxation for you. There will always be demands for your time/energy, but you get to decide what you put your energy into. Set up and stand firm in your boundaries.

4. Learn to let things go: ⏳ Balance is a funny word because in our house balance doesn’t mean doing all the things every day. It means that sometimes the floors don’t get swept but an extra load of laundry got done. Or instead of a run today I prepped and scheduled a business email. It ebbs and flows with the days/seasons, and that’s ok.

5. Turn your phone off: 🤸🏼‍♂️ Remember it’s ok to take a break. You can’t run on an empty cup. Unplugging on your day(s) off is absolutely ok. It will give you uninterrupted time with your loved ones, and leave you refreshed to tackle the next work day.

Now I want to hear from you. What are your tips for reaching your goals and staying focused?
