Top 5 Ways to Recharge


Okay friends, we are 1 year into this p@ndemic and if we are going to be honest, I think we all need a bit of time to recharge. Our normal supports/outlets have been changed or taken away and we are doing the best we can, but we need to remember to fill our cups (and our loved ones cups) from time to time!



Here are my top 5 ways to recharge, whether you are on lockdown or not:


1. Give yourself a good rest. Stop "shoulding" on. yourself, because there is always more work to do. If your body needs a 15-30 minute power nap, allow yourself that.


2. Get some exercise: Moving your body does wonders for your emotional health. This will look different for everyone...go for a walk, dance, run, swim, do a 30min HIIT workout...whatever works best for you!


3. Declutter and organize your surroundings: When I feel like I'm getting agitated, sometimes I take a step back and realize it's because there is stuff EVERYWHERE. Decluttering our houses also helps clear our minds.


4. Fill your day with gratitude: When we get stuck in a negative way of thinking, everything tends to get painted in a negative way. Choosing to see the positive in a situation can turn your day around and give you more energy. (PS -- this can be done halfway through the day, too!)


5. Get some fresh air: There is something about being outdoors that helps boost our mood and energy. As a bonus, soaking up some sun helps boost your vitamin D, which helps not only give you stronger bones, but also can boost your immune system! 🙌🏻
