3 Contour Tips to Avoid the Makeup Overwhelm

If you’re new to contouring, or have tried and are unsure if everything is going where it’s supposed to, here are 3 tips that will help:

1️⃣ Start with your contour so you have a template of where everything goes. I like to think of a “3” or an “E” when remembering where the contour goes on my face.

2️⃣ Use a smaller end brush to place your contour at first so you can see better where everything is going, and will be less likely to make thick contour lines and run out of space to put the rest of your makeup.

3️⃣ If you’re unsure of how high or low to place your cheekbone contour, take that small brush to the upper corner of your ear and aim it to the corner of your mouth. Gently press it into your skin and where the skin blanches is where your contour should go.

I hope this helps you gain confidence in your makeup application and avoid the overwhelm! Follow for more easy makeup tips, and if you’d like to try this makeup, comment “contour” or click the link in my profile to get started!
