There's Never a Perfect Time.
When I was making the decision whether or not to join as a SEINT Artist I had some pretty major red light stories going off in my head.
❌I can barely keep my house in order, let alone run a business with all these young kids. I should wait until everyone’s in school.
❌I have NO makeup experience— who’s going to listen to me?
❌I have a university degree and a good career. What are my colleagues going to think?
❌I don’t want to be spammy or icky and have my friends try and run away when they saw me coming.
But GUESS WHAT? Those were just thoughts and perceptions, and none of them are true. Here’s the truth:
✅I was drowning, yes, but having this business forced me to prioritize my time and make the most of my day. And more got done 👏🏻. If i would have waited for my kids to be in school none of what happened would be even started yet. I would be in the exact same place, but working more 7:30-4:00 shifts at the hospital, 5 days a week. (And let’s be honest, the older they get the busier they get in other ways).
✅Lots of people have no makeup experience so watching someone as they learn is actually really helpful.
✅My colleagues are curious about what I’m doing and impressed with the success (cause let’s be honest — if you put the work in, this and more is possible!) And even if they weren’t — I can’t change how others think/feel about me. I can only control how I think/feel, right @heatherboersma ?
✅As women we share anyway. Fav restaurant, clothes, recipes. Why not make some 💲 with it? Also, the community I’ve gained WITHOUT any “hey girl” cold messages is invaluable.
